Kota Police Detain Three Suspects in Tiger Shroff Firing Case; ₹34,000 Contract Revealed
Kota Police have detained three suspects in the Tiger Shroff firing case, uncovering an alleged ₹34,000 contract from California. Investigators are examining their escape route, missing weapons and alleged links to Anil Pandit abroad.
The three accused, identified as Rehan alias Sukka, Phool Singh and Roshan alias Hrithik, were taken into custody by Kota Police on Monday from a train arriving from Mumbai. All three are adults. According to the information that has emerged during the investigation, the accused allegedly travelled through multiple locations after the firing incident in an attempt to escape detection.
The three regularly visited Juhu Chowpatty in Mumbai. They reportedly had long hair before the incident, but when Kota Police apprehended them, their hair had been cut short and their clothes had also been changed. According to the account of their movements, the three cut their hair aboard the train and changed their clothes to conceal their identities.
After the firing, the suspects allegedly reached Andheri railway station and boarded a local train. They got off after travelling two or three stations and subsequently booked an online taxi. The payment for the taxi was reportedly made by Anil Pandit. The three then travelled to Surat, where they boarded the Pune-Jaipur train.
Police have not recovered any weapons from the suspects so far. Only clothes were found in their bags, raising the possibility that they had discarded the weapons used in the incident. Hrithik had allegedly arranged a stolen motorcycle.
According to the emerging details, Anil Pandit was allegedly operating all three suspects from abroad. He reportedly offered them money and lured them with promises of jobs overseas. Investigators have revealed that an alleged contract worth ₹34,000 had been arranged from California to target Tiger Shroff.
The investigation has also shed light on how the three men came into contact with one another. Phool Singh and Rehan work as labourers, while Hrithik rides a bike for Rapido. Hrithik, aged 22, was allegedly brought into the plan because he was familiar with local locations. Rehan and Phool Singh are both 18 years old.
Rehan first came into contact with a man named Sameer, who is a resident of Sonipat. Sameer allegedly introduced the three to Anil Pandit. Before this incident, Rehan and Phool Singh had reportedly fired at a businessman in Amritsar, but the pistol failed to discharge. Amritsar Police have detained Sameer.
The three suspects were allegedly planning to flee to Nepal after the firing incident. Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam confirmed that no weapons had been recovered from the suspects. She said the men told police that they had boarded a train after carrying out the incident.
According to their reported plan, they intended to travel by bus from Jaipur to Delhi and then cross the border into Nepal. Their detention in Kota has brought their alleged escape route under investigation, while police continue to examine the missing weapons, the suspected financial arrangement and the alleged role of Anil Pandit in directing the operation from abroad.
